Alex became Head Coach at Leatherhead Tennis Club in January 2022, bringing over ten years of coaching experience and a strong passion for player and club development. 

Before coaching, he played tennis full-time and was ranked number 1 in Surrey.

He’s worked with players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to professionals on the tour. His coaching has helped produce County and Regional level juniors, including some who have gone on to play college tennis in the USA.

Alex currently coaches a WTA-ranked player in both singles and doubles, and for the past three years has captained and coached the Surrey U11 Boys team. He also leads the Leatherhead coaching team and oversees all junior, adult, and Academy programmes, making sure they’re inclusive, well-structured, and supportive of every player’s journey.

Alex is also a qualified competition organiser, and a certified stringer — all part of his well-rounded approach to coaching and club development.
