TOURNAMENTS
The coaches arrange a host of tournaments throughout the year aimed at all levels.
The Summer Tennis Tournament (LTA hosted) runs from May to September. It is our largest tournament with singles, doubles and mixed events in the open category, over 50's and super vets categories - culminating in an exciting finals day, where all matches are umpired. The social team make sure finalists and spectators are catered for with a cream tea and BBQ. Winners receive engraved cups and trophies.
The Junior Tournament Finals Day is held in July, attracting our up and coming, and already established,
exceptional junior talent at the club.
The Spring Tennis Tournament is an afternoon of team play. Players are organised by coach Alex into teams and play rounds against other teams with the winning team winning a prize.
The social team provide a BBQ and the bar is open.
The Winter Champions League Tournament consists of 5 separate events over the winter season to keep the competitive tennis spirit going! The social team provides a BBQ after each event and the bar is, as usual, open!
To celebrate Wimbledon Finals Day, the coaching and social teams put on a range of fun events throughout the afternoon, including a tournament, cardio games and an exhibition match.
Members and families can come and take part, enjoy a cream tea, burger, pizza, jug of Pimms and more.
It's a wonderful afternoon with various prizes for team winners, fastest serve and more.
